![]() The latter in particular somehow turns the song from Armageddon into a rather somber theme. Worms: Reloaded features remixes of Generic, Battlezone, Forest and Outerspace. Some of Worms 2's soundtrack counts, particularly " Yesterday's Hero " and Bad Boy Boggy B.Of course, every game's "Wormsong", lyrical ( Armageddon) or not ( World Party) are awesome to listen to.*but we can't talk about such things here, if they existed. If you knew where to look/ask there "may be" a complete WA installation floating around pre-configured with PX, all schemes, libs, compatibility fixes and Rubberworm. It's as simple as extracting them to your Worms folder - a one-time fix that will work forever. If you use Windows 8 or 10 you will need the compatibility fixes found in my post in this thread. There's an older version of Rubberworm which works on the version of WA that PX uses. Most people who use PX also install the mod called Rubberworm for extra features. I had uploaded all my files in this thread: but some of the links are now dead. To get started it's usually simpler to just join other people's games at first, which automatically downloads those schemes/weaps to your computer. You can download schemes, weapons, libs, etc, from the forums at px. You can copy over your entire User folder which will keep your maps, teams, schemes and other personalizations in the PX version. You should first install your 2nd copy of WA and then use the installer on that copy. This takes care of the semi-complicated business of downgrading your version automatically. There is an automatic installer for PX found here: ![]() Doing this is not hard - the install procedure only takes a few minutes. You should only use that 2nd copy when you want to use PX features. Because it's an older version, which reintroduces some old bugs, the best way to use PX is to install a second copy of WA in a different folder. Your best bet is to meet them and exchange contact info. There's still a decent devoted group of people who play PX online. ProjectX uses an older version of WA (3.6.31.0) because its creator disappeared. Each worm has its own random starting inventory of one weapon and one utility which can be used once each turn, and killing other worms (including your own worms) steals their weapons. The best example which I recommend is the scheme "Highlander"- specifically the one called "0h so highlander". ProjectX enables custom game logic, which can greatly change the game's strategy or add dynamic features to maps like gravity wells, weapon turrets, walls that change colour, etc. But the things that have been created and the possibilities are also far greater than what was available in Worms 2.Īmong other things, there's a "swim suit" utility, a helicopter, hang glider, hover board, all missing weaps from W2, and probably 100 other new weapons and things. It is far more difficult to create your own customizations than it is in Worms 2, though. There are many excellent new weapons and utiliities, and other things like ~6 different types of barrels, that people have created, that you can use. You have unlimited control over the weapons. But here, I haven't even noticed any difference between power 3 and 5.Īt least with the Ninja rope you get an actual difference, since the rope is longer and you have more shots.Īnyway, is there really no way to customize weapons in a meaningful way? Since this is conceptually a really bad weapon, we used to compensate by giving it high damage and explosion. We really loved setting one weapon (usually the minigun) to very high power, causing major destruction cutting through the terrain, but here, even at power 5, the minigun causes minimal damage and explosions. It doesn't give you the damage caused, the explosion size, the number of bullets, etc. but I am seriously missing the weapon customization.įor example, from what I see, all you can change is weapon power between 1 and 5, which is super vague. I really like it, and it does bring back the feels, and I like many of the new features (like the manual placement of worms dropping stuff from ninja rope and Hungarian voices). So Worms 2 was one of my all time favorite games from childhood, and since that one is not on Steam for some unexplained reason, I downloaded this as the closest one.
